KEPW Youth Radio Project

Youth Radio Project Festival – July 2021!!

The KEPW Youth Radio Project is a part of KEPW’s mission to bring voices on the air which are otherwise left unheard!  We know how important it is to hear from our next generation and we are proud to have youth on the air regularly.  Tune in to hear from youth local to Eugene and as far away as Alaska sharing what they feel is important as well as fun topics.  Empowering our youth is crucial, especially during these challenging times and the KEPW Youth Radio Project is honored to be a part of giving our youth a place to be heard!

In the KEPW Youth Radio Project we train youth at our weekly meeting and individually to share their voices on KEPW-LP  97.3FM and  We have many different ways that young people can learn about radio production, from hosting or co-hosting a show on the topic that means the most to them to audio editing and production skills of all kinds.  We are always looking to find more young people to share the excitement and empowerment that naturally comes when we feel heard, so if you are between 10 and 20 years old or know anyone in that age group that might want to adventure into the world of radio you can reach out on our website, email or call 541-833-0622 and leave a message and we will return your call promptly.

Our in person celebration with our Youth will be livestreamed July 24 from 6pm to 8pm, sharing with listeners what they love about being on the radio, drawing raffle tickets to share prizes from local businesses and individuals and live music from Dakota, a young local performer.

Buy your raffle ticket by donating to KEPW on our website or on our Facebook Fundraiser available on our group page Friends of KEPW.  Every $2 donated will buy one raffle ticket for prizes including $40 gift certificate at Ravens, a beautiful coloring book from Stargate, Gift pack of cards from local artist Lola Buckwald, A sweatshirt with Lola’s print of local musician M5, Two head dresses with Ocean and Harvest vibe, a box of Voodoo donuts, a personal song therapy session with Joey Helpish, and a handmade KEPW clock.
