Native Plant Sale today for local Sierra Club, noon-4pm

Today from noon-4pm in downtown Eugene, the local Sierra Club is hosting their annual Native Plant Sale (also on Facebook). The Many Rivers Group has over 3,000 members from Lane, Douglas, and Coos counties. They are strong advocates protecting the ecosystems we all depend on to survive and thrive, and organize frequent outings, and informational events, in addition to their legislative and advocacy work. Find out more at their website where you can see what campaigns they’re working on, join a mailing list, and more.

The plants available today: Red Osier Dogwood, Black Twin Berry, Mock Orange (pictured here), Oregon Grape, Ocean Spray, Nine Bark, Service Berry, Snow Berry, Salmon Berry, and Thimble Berry.

Instructions for planting will also be available.

$3 per plant, or four for $10

You can find the sale in the parking lot between 11th and 12th in Eugene, behind the Democratic Party of Lane County at 224 E 11th Ave.

KEPW is proud to have the Many Rivers Group as a sponsor of our upcoming Green Earth Ball, and we hope you find some native plant friends at today’s sale to bring home!
